在談到編號的東西時,通常用序數(shù)詞。例如:

1.基數(shù)詞的讀法:
⑴“幾十幾”十位和個位之間用“—”。e.g.32thirty-two
⑵101—999百位和十位間加“and”.e.g.928ninehundredandtwenty-eight
⑶1000以上的數(shù),從后往前每三位一段,倒數(shù)第一個數(shù)讀thousand,倒數(shù)第二個數(shù)讀million,依次類推。e.g.8,542,601eightmillion,fivehundredandforty-threethousand,sixhundredandone
2.基數(shù)詞的運用:
hundred,thousand,million,billion等一般用單數(shù),但以下情況用復數(shù):
⑴表示不定數(shù)目:e.g.hundredsofmillionsof
⑵表示“幾十”的數(shù)詞,其復數(shù)形式可以表示年齡或年代。

大家都知道howmany和howmuch是用來提問多少,的意思,那么howmany和howmuch有什么區(qū)別嗎?
1所修飾詞的不同
howmany用來修飾可數(shù)名詞的復數(shù),它的句式是:Howmany+復數(shù)名詞+一般疑問句+?
howmuch用來修飾不可數(shù)名詞,表示數(shù)量,也可單獨使用。
2howmany的用法
(1)對therebe句型中主語的數(shù)量如:some,five,onlyone等提問時,如果主語是可數(shù)名詞,不管主語是單數(shù)還是復數(shù)一般都用復數(shù)形式提問,因為問話人不知道具體的數(shù)量是多少,而且many只能接可數(shù)名詞復數(shù)形式,所以be一定要用are.即用Howmany+可數(shù)名詞復數(shù)+arethere+地點/時間狀語?的句型結(jié)構(gòu).例如:

3howmuch的用法

(2)用來詢問事物的重量。例如:
