一、教學內(nèi)容及分析

本單元以生活中發(fā)生的有趣事情及富有科普意義的不明飛行物UFO作為話題，其語言功能是談?wù)撨^去發(fā)生的事情，學會講故事，進而培養(yǎng)學生熱愛科學、探索科學、熱愛生活的情感。是在學習了一般過去時態(tài)和現(xiàn)在進行時態(tài)的基礎(chǔ)上，通過講故事的方式，學習過去進行時態(tài)，繼續(xù)鞏固一般過去時態(tài)，學習when、while引導的時間狀語從句，進而加深對一般過去時態(tài)和過去進行時態(tài)意義的理解和應(yīng)用。

SectionA：活動1a至2c主要通過聽說的方式，描述UFO的發(fā)生過程，在情景中呈現(xiàn)并學習了過去進行時態(tài)的意義及其結(jié)構(gòu)，學習了when和while引導的時間狀語從句?；顒?a至活動4通過讀寫的方式，通過任務(wù)驅(qū)動，講述了UFO故事的結(jié)尾，然后通過小組交流活動，應(yīng)用鞏固過去進行時態(tài)。

SectionB：在SectionA的基礎(chǔ)上進一步升華，應(yīng)用前面學習的知識談?wù)搶W生身邊常發(fā)生的事情，增強語言的真實實用性，教材編排按照先聽說后讀寫循序漸進的方式，便于學生掌握和鞏固。

SelfCheck目的是檢測重點詞匯、目標語言的應(yīng)用，是學生單元復習和小結(jié)的指南。

教材以循序漸進的方式逐步呈現(xiàn)、操練、鞏固、提高和復習新的語言，通過任務(wù)驅(qū)動的方式，從生活中來，到生活中去，體現(xiàn)語言的工具性和交際性。聽、說、讀、寫貫穿整個學習過程，讓學生體驗合作交流的學習方式，感受語言學習之樂。

二、學習者特征分析

本單元的主要目標是學習掌握過去進行時態(tài)，鞏固應(yīng)用一般過去時態(tài)，學會講故事或描述身邊發(fā)生的事情，它是在學生已經(jīng)學習了現(xiàn)在進行時態(tài)和一般過去時態(tài)的基礎(chǔ)上繼續(xù)學習的。對于八年級的學生，學生已經(jīng)有了一定的詞匯量，特別是要用好多的動詞，學生有了一定的基礎(chǔ)，這樣便于教學內(nèi)容的突破；更好的是教材選編了一些富有科普意義的UFO，更能激發(fā)學生的好奇心和學習興趣，所以本單元的學習，學生應(yīng)該能輕松的掌握。

2、過程與方法本單元通過聽說讀寫各種活動，了解了UFO，學習了UFO的故事發(fā)生過程，鞏固掌握一般過去時態(tài)和過去進行時態(tài)，能夠講述或者復述故事，描述自己身邊發(fā)生的事情。

3、情感態(tài)度與價值觀：以有趣的UFO，激發(fā)學生探索自然，熱愛科學的興趣。以描述身邊發(fā)生的有趣事情，激發(fā)學生熱愛生活，享受生活，熱愛學習的情趣。

四、重點難點理解和掌握過去進行時態(tài)的意義功能，能區(qū)別一般過去時態(tài)和過去進行時態(tài)意義，熟悉句子結(jié)構(gòu)，能應(yīng)用運用這兩種時態(tài)；掌握when，while的用法和區(qū)別及其引導的條件狀語從句。

五、教法選擇、學法指導與資源準備根據(jù)學生特點及其對基礎(chǔ)知識的掌握、教材編排特點以及語言教學的特征，我準備將教材作如下整合。第一課時，先從現(xiàn)在進行時態(tài)引出過去進行時態(tài)，兩種時態(tài)對比，加深學生對兩種時態(tài)的理解和知識間的前后聯(lián)系，然后進行操練，進而教學when和while的用法，加深鞏固和理解，接著教學SectionB1，2a，2b，2c；第二課時教學UFO專題，完成SectionA；第三課時安排閱讀復述教學，將教學內(nèi)容進行升華；第四課時進行故事編排的寫作教學，并進行單元復習小結(jié)，完成SelfCheck。采用以下教學法：情景創(chuàng)設(shè)呈現(xiàn)語言教學法、活動交流交際法、視聽法、讀寫法、任務(wù)型語言教學法、成果分享教學，自學探究教學法等。培養(yǎng)學生自學探究意識，對學到的知識應(yīng)該加以歸納、分析、比較，找出異同點；加強對新語言的操練。

教材安排活動4調(diào)查采訪旨在通過交流活動，加強學生對過去進行時態(tài)的理解和掌握，SectionB又通過聽力繼續(xù)鞏固和提高，同時加強when和while的用法。本節(jié)課通過復習引入，情境創(chuàng)設(shè)首先學習過去進行時態(tài)，然后通過活動4調(diào)查，加深理解，并進行操練。
