一、教學內(nèi)容
本模塊以“動物”為話題，介紹了世界各地的動物及其棲息地、習性等，同時也喚起學生熱愛動物，保護動物的意識。內(nèi)容緊密結(jié)合初中學生所熟悉和喜愛的話題而展開聽、說、讀、寫的語言實踐活動。使學生既開闊了眼界又增長了知識。本節(jié)課是給學生上本模塊的第二單元，要求學生能讀懂有關介紹動物的篇章，并能找出文中相關細節(jié)信息。本模塊的語法重點是一般現(xiàn)在時第三人稱單數(shù)作主語的疑問句及其回答。
二、學生分析
通過Unit1的教學，學生已經(jīng)掌握了一些動物詞匯，已經(jīng)初步接觸過一般現(xiàn)在時第三人稱單數(shù)作主語的疑問句及其回答表達形式，而Unit2主要是學習各大洲詞匯和閱讀介紹動物棲息地、習性的文章。本單元是學生學習的重點，也就是有許多知識點需要學生理解和掌握。只要合理地進行教學設計，學生將能夠很好地對所學知識進行綜合運用，取得良好的教學效果。
三、設計思想
本人圍繞本課的教學重點項目，對教材內(nèi)容作了以下的處理：在通過用多媒體呈現(xiàn)一些動物的圖片，引導學生談論動物的棲息地和鞏固一般現(xiàn)在時第三人稱單數(shù)作主語的疑問句及其回答；通過用多媒體呈現(xiàn)一些動物被殘害的圖片來進行德育滲透，來喚起學生熱愛動物，保護動物的意識。同時在教學過程中通過猜謎、趣味問答問題以及Chant活動，充分調(diào)動學生積極性，課堂氣氛活躍，在教學過程中兼顧知識的運用能力培養(yǎng)以及文化素養(yǎng)的提升，培養(yǎng)了學生實踐能力和創(chuàng)造能力，使學生在特定環(huán)境中領悟語言，拓寬視野，獲得樂趣和成就感。

2）學會讀懂有關介紹動物的簡單文章,并從中獲取重要相關細節(jié)信息，進行簡單的閱讀技能訓練
2．學習策略：一定程度形成自主學習，有效交際、信息處理、英語思維能力。
3．文化意識：熱愛動物，關愛動物．了解常見動物在英語國家中的文化含義
4．情感態(tài)度:
在用英語交流中，培養(yǎng)熱愛動物，保護動物的意識。參加各種英語活動，克服困難，在新環(huán)境中進一步樹立準確的語言學習觀。
