1.Talkaboutdisability?談一談殘疾(p.49Goal1)
①Iwassurprisedatherinabilitytodothingspromptly. ②Sheisdeaf,butrefusestoletherdisabilitypreventherfromdoingwhatshewantstodo. ③Hisinabilitytopayhisdebtsmadehisparentsworried. ④Herlackofexperienceisaseveredisability.
②Anaccidentdisabledhimfromteaching. ③Heseemsunabletounderstandthesimplestinstructions. ④Hewasunabletosleepatnightbecauseofhisanxiety.
2.Imaginewhatdifficultiesanddangersyoumightface. (p.49WarmingupEx.1)▲imagine
②YoucantimaginehowImissedthebird.
注意:imaginesb.tobe結(jié)構(gòu),但不能說imaginesb.todo.如:Youimagineyourself(tobe)intheplace.
(×)Ican’timagineyoutodoanythingworse.
(√)Ican’timagineyoudoinganythingworse.
①Whatdoyouthinkhisexplanationis?
--Howmuchdoyouthinkthiscarcost?
①Ithinksheisthebeststudentinourclass,isntshe?
①Idontthinkhewillbethelikeliestcandidateforthemanagerofhumanresourcedepartment. ②Idontthinkthathedidthebest. ③--DoyouthinkTomisthebeststudentinourclass? --No,Ithinknot/Idontthinkso.(否定回答)不,我認(rèn)為不是。
▲might
情態(tài)動詞might表推測“可能”,另外表推測的情態(tài)動詞還有must,may,can,could等詞,用來表示對現(xiàn)在情況推測時(shí)后加動詞原形;對過去情況推測時(shí)后加havedone形式;might可能性比must,may弱,且must只用于肯定句,can只用于否定或疑問句。①Wedbetterhurry.Ourteachermustbewaitingforus. ②Youmustntplaywiththeknife.Itmight
hurtyourhand. ③Petermaycomewithus,butheisntsure. ④Hemusthavefinishedhishomework. ⑤Hecannothaveattendedyourlectureyesterday.Isawhiminthecinema.
