形容詞最高級用法(一)用法:當(dāng)需要對三者或三者以上的人或事物進行比較,表示“最……”的含義時,需要用級。我們在使用最高級時應(yīng)注意以下幾點。
1、形容詞最高級前通常要加定冠詞,但如果最高級前有物主代詞、名詞所有格等修飾時,則不用定冠詞。如:(1)Mondayismybusiestday.星期一是我最心的一天。
(2)JimisMike’sbestfriend.吉姆是邁克最好的朋友。
2、形容詞最高級常與介詞in或of引導(dǎo)的短語(說明比較范圍)連用。若介詞后的名詞或代詞與句中的主語是同一類人或物時,常用of短語。當(dāng)強調(diào)是在某一范圍、場所內(nèi)進行比較時,常用in短語。如:(1)Sheistheoldestofthesechildren.她是這些孩子中年齡最大的。
(2)Lilyistheyoungestinherclass.莉莉在她班里年齡最小。
3、形容詞最高級前可用序數(shù)詞進行限定,共同修飾后面的名詞,其結(jié)構(gòu)為:the+序數(shù)詞+形容詞最高級+名詞。如:
TheYellowRiveristhesecondlongestriverinChina.黃河是中國第二長河。
4、有時有最高級修飾的名詞前還可以用不定冠詞來修飾,但這時不含比較的意思,只是表示“非常,很”如:Theirperformancewasagreatestsuccess.他們的演出非常成功。
