本單元的閱讀部分是一個生活在英國的學生寫給香港筆友的一封英文信。學生對國外同齡孩子的生活比較感興趣,再加上他們對英文信形式不陌生。所以,教師應充分利用學生的興趣,通過比較不同的學校生活進行教授。
本課的任務有兩個:
1學生通過對課文的學習。掌握一些核心詞匯,例如:pen-friend,magazine,inch,form等。
2通過學習課文,了解英文信的結構,為writing部分做準備。

一般將來時的形式:
●主語+助動詞(will/shall)+動詞原形(shall只用于第一人稱)

規(guī)則變化:

(3)以輔音字母加y結尾的變y為i加er:happy—happier
(4)以一個輔音字母結尾的重讀閉音節(jié)詞雙寫最后一個輔音字母再加er:big--bigger
