1)形容詞的作用:形容詞在句子中一般充當表語、定語和賓語補足語,
如:Ourschoollooksverybeautiful.(表語)
Weneedabigclassroom.(定語)
Doingmorningexercisescanmakeushealthy.(賓語補足語)
2)形容詞的級別:即原級、比較級和最高級。當討論的對象是一個時應(yīng)使用原級,當討論的對象是兩個時應(yīng)使用比較級,當討論的對象在三個或更多時應(yīng)使用最高級。
(1)形容詞比較級用法:形容詞比較級用法用于兩者之間的比較,后常跟比較連詞than表被比較的對象。為避免重復(fù)than引導(dǎo)的從句中有些與主句相同的部分常省略,而把相比較部分突出。
例:Hishairislongerthanhisfathers.=Hehaslongerhairthanhisfather.
ItshotterinShanghaithaninBeijing.ChinaisbiggerthananyothercountryinAsia.
(2)形容詞比較級的構(gòu)成:(重要知識點)
①規(guī)則變化在詞尾加-er
②以不發(fā)音的e結(jié)尾的單音節(jié)詞和少數(shù)以-le結(jié)尾的雙音節(jié)詞直接加-r
③以輔音加y結(jié)尾的變y為i加-er,
④重讀閉音節(jié)以輔音字母結(jié)尾的雙寫結(jié)尾的輔音加-er
⑤有的雙音節(jié)和多音節(jié)的詞,在詞前加more構(gòu)成比較級。
⑥此外還有個別詞為不規(guī)則變化。例:good/well-better/bestmany/much-more-most
(3)形容詞比較級前還可用much,even,alittle來修飾
例:Thiscityismuchmorebeautifulthanbefore.Shesalittlemoreoutgoingthanme.
(4)“比較級+and+比較級”意為“越來越…”注:多音節(jié)比較級用“moreandmore+形容詞原級”形式。
例:Thegroupbecamemoreandmorepopular.
(5)“Which/Whois+比較級…?”比較A、B兩事物,問其中哪一個較…時用此句型。
例:WhichT-shirtisnicer,thisoneorthatone?

Here/There開頭的句子需倒裝。例:Hereisyourbook.
主語為代詞時,謂語還是放在主語之后。例:Hereyouare.(倒裝句的典型句子)
謂語為行為動詞表正在進行。例:Theregoesthebell.鈴響了。
2.Asyoucansee,insomewayswelookthesame,andinsomewayswelookdifferent.
“AandBlookthesame”看上去一樣。例:LilyandLucylookthesame.
“AlooklikeB”看上去像…例:LilylookslikeLucy.
此處look意為“看起來”系動詞,后跟形容詞。例:lookyoung/old/tired/nice.
3.Webothhaveblackeyesandblackhair,althoughmyhairisshorterthanhers.
(1)both“兩個、兩者都…”,作副詞時常放在be動詞之后,實義動詞之前。
例:Both(of)hisparentsaredoctors.(作代詞)=Hisparentsarebothdoctors.(作副詞)
Theybothwentcampingintheholiday.(作副詞)
both…and…兩者都…例:BothEnglishandmathareveryimportant.
注:both指兩者都,all指三者或三者以上都。
(2)although與though??苫Q,表“雖然、即使、盡管”,都不能與but用于一句話中。但though用得更普遍。此外though可作副詞,在句尾表“然而”,although不能。
例:Therearesomedifferences,though.

more…than…“比…多”例:Hehasmorebooksthanme.
5.Theyhavesomethingsincommon.(incommon共同的)
6.LiYingisnotasgoodatsportsashersister.
(1)as…as…同級比較,兩個“as”之間必須使用形容詞或副詞原級。意為“如同……一樣…”,notas/so…as“不如…”
例:Herunsasquicklyashisfather.
