LearningTips?
Q:WhatdoesTomdo??
A.He’satruckdriver.B.He’sashipcaptain.C.He’sapilot.?
W:TomflewtoAnchoragelastnight,thentooksomepassengersfromtheretoDollas.?
M:Yeah,buthecouldn’tlandbecausetheairportinDollaswassnowedin.?
但如A用否定句,B表同意時(shí)則用“No”,“Neither/Nor...”等。
A:Harveydoesn’tseemtofitintothisclass.?
B:No,heisreallyafishoutofwater.
例:Howmuchwillthemanpayforthetickets??
A.B.C.?
W:Ticketsforthemovieareforadults,halfpriceforchildren.?
M:Allright,I’dlikethreeticketsforadultsandtwoticketsforchildren,please.?
筆記可簡化為:A(代表adult),C(代表child),3A+2C或6A(3)+halfChildren(2)
AtwhattimedoesthetraintoLeedsleave??
A.3:00B.3:15C.5:00?
W:Excuseme,couldyoutellmewhenthenexttraintoManchesteris??
M:Sure.Well,it’s3now.ThenexttraintoManchesterleavesin2hours,butyoucantakethetraintoLeedswhichleavesin15minutes,andthengetoffatManchesterontheway.?
(2)計(jì)算時(shí)間,錢款,距離,年齡,人或物的數(shù)量等;聽出數(shù)字間的關(guān)系,更要聽清問題,因?yàn)閷\(yùn)算方法的要求通常寓于問題中;注意more,less,asmuch(many)as,another,double,acoupleof,to,past,quarter;記住時(shí)間是60進(jìn)制?
例:Atwhattimedoestheofficeopen??
A.At8:15.B.At8:30.C.At7:45?
M:Iwonderwhytheofficeisstillnotopen.?
W:Butit’snotyeteight.Infact,it’sonlyaquartertoeight.
Wheredoestheconversationtakeplace?/Wheredoessb.work?/What’shisjob?
restaurant:menu,bill,order,tip,hamburger,beer,soup?
hotel:luggage,singleroom,doubleroom,roomnumber,checkin(out)?
hospital:takemedicine,temperature,pill,headache,fever,examine?
postoffice:mail,deliver,stamp,envelope,parcel?
airport:flight,takeoff,land,luggage?
railwaystation:roundtrip,singletrip,sleepingcar?
store:onsale,size,wear,colour,style,price,change,bargain,fit?
school:professor,exam,course,term,dininghall,playground?
library:librarian,renew,date,shelf,magazine,seat?
如:What’sthemangoingtodo??
A.Runtotheairport.B.Waitforanotherbus.C.Hurrytogetthenextbus.?
M:Excuseme,canyoutellmewhenthenextbusleavefortheairport??
W:Itleavesinthreeminutes.Ifyourun,youmightcatchit.?

Period 5 Speaking and Writing
TheGeneralIdeaofThisPeriod
Thisperiodaimsatprovidingthestudentswithanopportunitytoapplywhattheyhavelearnedinthisunit.Moreover,itleavessomespaceforthemtocreateandimagine.Beforewritingtheteachercangivethestudentsabrainstormingtimeinclass,havingthestudentsthinkaboutwhattheyaregoingtowritefortheirintroductiontothepark.Thiswillprobablygivethemaneasierstart.Afterwriting,thestudentswillgetanotherchancetopracticewhattheyhavelearnedaboutthefunctionalitemAskingtheway.Theteachershouldencouragethestudentstouseinformalspokenformsratherthanwrittenstylesintheirdialoguewriting,andaskthestudentstopayattentiontotheirtonesandintonationwhilepresentingtheirrole-playinfrontoftheclass.?
(1)Becausetheweatherwasgood,ourjourneywascomfortable.?
Thankstothegoodweather,ourjourneywascomfortable.?

(10)Youcanfindmyhouseeasily.?

Grammar?

(Conversion)?
Let’sgooutforawalk.?
Heisamanofstrongbuild.?
Let’shaveaswim.?
Themeparkscharge(v.)moneyforadmission.?
Themeparksexpecttomakeaprofitbythecharges(n.)foradmission.?
Didyoubookaseatontheplane??
Pleasehandmethedictionary.?
Shenursedherhusbandbacktohealth.?
Welunchedtogetheryesterday.?
Wewilltryourbesttobetterourlivingconditions.?
Shecleansherroomeveryday.?
Thearmydownedaplane.?
