1.形容詞副詞比較級和最高級的構成
大多數(shù)形容詞(性質(zhì)形容詞)和副詞有比較級和最高級的變化,即原級、比較級和最高級,用來表示事物的等級差別。原級即形容詞的原形,比較級和最高級有規(guī)則變化和不規(guī)則變化兩種。

2.形容詞副詞最高級常用的結構:the+最高級+比較范圍。最高級表示三者或三者以上人或事物中“最……”,其中最高級前通常加定冠詞,物主代詞,名詞所有格。比較范圍是短語或從句。如:

春天是一年中最好的季節(jié)。

形容詞副詞最高級的其他用法:
(1)形容詞副詞最高級前可以有一個表示程度的副詞或數(shù)詞。如:
OfthethreeboysNickisalmostthecleverest.這三個男孩中,尼克差不多是最聰明的了。
TheYellowRiveristhesecondlongestriverinChina.黃河是中國的第二大河。
Sheisbyfarthemostactivememberinourgroup.她是我們組最活躍的成員。
(2)在作表語的形容詞最高級前,如果不和別的相比,常常不加冠詞。如:
Thisiswheretheriverisdeepest.
這是河流的最深處。
Putthepicturewherelightisbest.
把這張畫掛在光線最亮處。
(二)一般過去時
1.概念:
(1)在確定的過去時間里所發(fā)生的動作或存在的狀態(tài)。一般過去時表示的動作或狀態(tài)都已成為過去,現(xiàn)已不復存在時間狀語有:yesterday,lastweek,anhourago,theotherday,in1982等。
例如:Wheredidyougojustnow?
(2)表示在過去一段時間內(nèi),經(jīng)常性或習慣性的動作。
例如:WhenIwasachild,Ioftenplayedfootballinthestreet.
WhenevertheBrownswentduringtheirvisit,theyweregivenawarmwelcome.
(3)注意:用過去時表示現(xiàn)在,表示委婉語氣。
a.動詞want,hope,wonder,think,intend等。

b.情態(tài)動詞could,would.

2.句型:
(1)肯定句:主語+動詞的過去式+其它。
eg.LwatchedTVlastnight.
(2)否定句:主語+didn’t+動詞原形+其它。

(3)一般疑問句:Did+主語+動詞原形+其它?

(4)特殊疑問句:特殊疑問詞+did+主語+動詞原形+其它?

4.動詞過去式
動詞過去式的規(guī)則變化
(1)一般情況下在動詞詞尾加-ed,詞尾-ed在濁輔音和元音后面讀[d],在清輔音后面讀[t],在[t]和[d]音后面,詞尾-ed一律讀[id]。例如:
climb→climbed[d]call→called[d]stay→stayed[d]
play→played[d]work→worked[t]help→helped[t]
want→wanted[id]need→needed[id]shout→shouted[id]
(2)詞尾是e的動詞加-d,讀音仍遵照第①條中規(guī)則。如:
live→lived[d]love→loved[d]like→liked[t]hope→hoped[t]
(3)以一個元音字母加一個輔音字母結尾的重讀閉音節(jié),應雙寫該輔音字母,再加-ed,詞尾-ed的讀音仍遵照第①條規(guī)則。如:
plan→planned[d]stop→stopped[t]
(4)以輔音字母+y結尾的動詞,要先將y改為i再加-ed,詞尾-ed一律發(fā)[d]。如:
carry→carried[d]study→studied[d]cry→cried[d]
try→tried[d]worry→worried[d]
動詞過去式的不規(guī)則變化:
1把動詞原形中的i改為a,變成過去式。如:
begin—began,drink—drank,give—gave,ring—rang,sing—sang,sit—sat,swim—swam
2把重讀開音節(jié)中的i改為o,變成過去式。如:
drive—drove,ride—rode,write—wrote
3改動詞原形中的aw/ow為ew,變成過去式。如:
draw—drew,grow—grew,know—knew,throw—threw(動詞show除外,show—showed)
4動詞原形中的e改為o,變成過去式。如:
get—got,forget—forgot
5動詞原形中的ee改為e,變成過去式。如:
feed—fed,meet—met
6動詞原形中的eep改為ept,變成過去式。如:
keep—kept,sleep—slept,sweep—swept
7動詞原形中的eak改為oke,變成過去式。如:
break—broke,speak—spoke
8動詞原形中的ell改為old,變成過去式。如:
sell—sold,tell—told
9動詞原形中的an改為oo,變成過去式。如:

10以ought和aught結尾,且讀音是〔:t〕的過去式。如:

11以ould結尾且讀音為〔ud〕的情態(tài)動詞過去式。如:

12把動詞原形中的o改為a,變成過去式。如:
come—came,become—became
13在動詞原形后加d或t變成過去式,并且發(fā)生音變。如:

“wouldlike”意為“想要”,其語氣比用like婉轉些。具體用法如下:
1.后面接名詞或代詞,表示“具體要”某樣東西。例如:
