一、教學(xué)內(nèi)容分析
本課時是閱讀課,在本單元中起著承上啟下的作用學(xué)生通過對本課文的閱讀,
以得到各種閱讀能力的培養(yǎng),也得到利用英語獲取信息、處理信息和解決問題的能力的培養(yǎng)。
本課時是以卓有成就的女性為話題,可以說是NelsonMandela-amodernhero(必修一unit5)的姊妹篇。
以JaneGoodall,一位將畢生都奉獻(xiàn)于研究和保護(hù)黑猩猩的女性為例,學(xué)習(xí)其人道主義精神,
激發(fā)和培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的野生動植物保護(hù)和環(huán)境保護(hù)意識,并使學(xué)生了解成功需具備的良好品質(zhì)。
二、教學(xué)目標(biāo)
知識與技能:
掌握文章結(jié)構(gòu),了解JaneGoodall保護(hù)非洲黑猩猩所做的貢獻(xiàn)。
培養(yǎng)學(xué)生閱讀能力,訓(xùn)練學(xué)生的閱讀技巧,同時加強(qiáng)讀說寫綜合技能的培養(yǎng)。
過程與方法:
提高學(xué)生的閱讀技巧和運(yùn)用英語進(jìn)行思維和表達(dá)的能力。

通過預(yù)習(xí),學(xué)生對本科話題的中心人物JaneGoodall及非洲野生動植物已具備一定的背景知識,
但是要完全用英語進(jìn)行思維和表達(dá),還有一定的距離。
高一的學(xué)生已初步具有用英語獲取信息、處理信息、分析問題和解決問題的綜合能力,

八、教學(xué)反思
本節(jié)課學(xué)生從中受到了很大的啟發(fā)和震撼。首先學(xué)生在思想上樹立對野生動植物保護(hù)的意識,
同時也間接地呼響應(yīng)了我們國家保護(hù)環(huán)境的號召。其次,學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)到了為人的優(yōu)良品質(zhì),
樹立了正確的人生觀,增強(qiáng)了社會責(zé)任感。
不足在于:有些學(xué)生在小組合作中表現(xiàn)不積極,通過課下了解發(fā)現(xiàn)這些學(xué)生主要是對環(huán)境保護(hù)知識了解較少,
課前任務(wù)由于種種原因沒有完成。所以在以后的教學(xué)中,要加大預(yù)習(xí)任務(wù)的檢查。預(yù)習(xí)任務(wù)也以小組展開,
一起查找資料,并在課前交流信息。

14.以-s結(jié)尾的地理名稱
某些以-s結(jié)尾的地理名稱,如果是國名,如theUnitedStates,theUnitedNations,theNetherlands等,盡管帶有復(fù)數(shù)詞尾,但系單一政治實體,故作單數(shù)用。但若不是國名,而是群島、山脈、海峽、瀑布等地理名稱、通常作復(fù)數(shù)用。例如:
