英語句子中的謂語動詞要和主語在人稱和數(shù)上保持一致,而在實(shí)際運(yùn)用中又有一些具體情況,概括起來,主謂一致要遵循以下三個原則:
1.語法一致原則
主語的數(shù)不受后面修飾它的短語的影響。如:
TomtogetherwithhisparentshasvisitedtheGreatWall.湯姆和他父母一起游覽過長城。
Thenumberofstudentsinourschoolisrising.我們學(xué)校的學(xué)生人數(shù)在上升。
2.意義一致原則
有的主語看似復(fù)數(shù)形式但表示的是單數(shù)意義,謂語動詞一般用單數(shù)形式;

表示抽象概念的動詞不定式和v.-ing形式作主語時,謂語動詞一般用單數(shù)形式;

3.就近一致原則
當(dāng)兩個主語用or,either...or...,neither...nor...,notonly...butalso...等連詞連接時,謂語動詞應(yīng)與最鄰近的主語在數(shù)上保持一致。

1.梳理語法
英語句子中的謂語動詞要和主語在人稱和數(shù)上保持一致,而在實(shí)際運(yùn)用中又有一些具體情況,概括起來,主謂一致要遵循以下三個原則:
一、語法一致原則
1.如果主語是單數(shù)形式,謂語動詞也要用單數(shù)形式。如:
ThepopulationofChinaisthelargestintheworld.
中國的人口是世界上最多的。
2.each,either,neither,nobody,nothing,anything,anybody,everybody,everything等不定代詞作主語時,謂語動詞用單數(shù)形式。如:
Eachworkerhasbeentrainedwell.每一個工人都經(jīng)過很好的訓(xùn)練。
Neitherofmytwohandshasscars.我的兩只手上都沒有傷疤。
3.主語的數(shù)不受后面修飾它的短語的影響。如:
Mr.Zhaotogetherwithhis10studentsiscleaningtheclassroomnow.趙老師和他的10個學(xué)生正在打掃教室。
二、意義一致原則
1.有的主語看似復(fù)數(shù)形式但表示的是單數(shù)意義,謂語動詞一般用單數(shù)形式。如:
Thenewsisexciting.這是個令人振奮的消息。
TheUnitedStatesisinNorthAmerica.
美國位于北美洲。
Twoyearsisreallyaverylongtime.
兩年的確是個很長的時間。
10milliondollarsisabigamountofmoney.一千萬美元是筆大錢。
2.what,who,which,all,any,none,more,most等代詞用作主語時,謂語動詞用單數(shù)形式還是復(fù)數(shù)形式要根據(jù)具體情況來確定。如:
Whathetellsyouisnotbelievableatall!他跟你說的根本不可信!
Whicharehisarticles?哪些是他的文章?
3.表示抽象概念的動詞不定式和v.-ing形式作主語時,謂語動詞用單數(shù)形式。如:
Tobeornottobe,thatisthequestion.生存還是死亡,這是一個問題。
Smokingisstrictlyprohibitedinpublicplaces.吸煙在公共場所是被嚴(yán)格禁止的。
4.一些集體名詞(如family,team,group,class,audience,company等)作主語時,如被看作一個整體,謂語動詞用單數(shù)形式;如果強(qiáng)調(diào)集體中的成員,謂語動詞用復(fù)數(shù)形式。如:
Herfamilyisahappyone.她的家庭是個幸福的家庭。
Herfamilyareinterestedinfishing.她的家人都喜歡釣魚。
5.由“分?jǐn)?shù)/百分?jǐn)?shù)+of+名詞”構(gòu)成的短語作主語時,如果of后面的名詞是可數(shù)名詞的復(fù)數(shù)形式,謂語動詞用復(fù)數(shù)形式;如果of后面的名詞為不可數(shù)名詞或可數(shù)名詞的單數(shù)形式,謂語動詞用單數(shù)形式。如:
Twothirdsofthebuildingislargeenoughforus.
這幢樓房的三分之二對我們來說就足夠大了。
Sixty-fivepercentofthebookshavebeenwritteninEnglish.
百分之六十五的書籍是用英語寫的。
三、就近一致原則
1.當(dāng)兩個主語用or,either...or...,neither...nor...,notonly...butalso...等連詞連接時,謂語動詞應(yīng)與最鄰近的主語在數(shù)上保持一致。如:
EitherMaryorherbrothersaregoingtohelpme.
瑪麗或者是她的兄弟們會來幫助我。
2.由here/there引起的句子中,謂語動詞的單復(fù)數(shù)形式通常和作主語的第一個名詞或代詞在數(shù)上保持一致。如:
Hereisaplateofhamandtwobottlesofwine.這是給你的一盤火腿和兩瓶紅酒。
Thereisabird,twocats,threedogsandsomegoldfishintheoldgranny’shouse.這位老奶奶家里有一只鳥、兩只貓,三只狗和一些金魚。
