1.Wouldyoumind…?和Doyoumind…?用于詢問或請求別人做某事,或請求他人的許可。
(1)mind后面可以用-ing形式,復合結(jié)構(gòu)one’sdoing或if引導的從句。
例如:

(3)詢問有關(guān)人們感覺的一般性問題,可以用Doyoumind…?通常不用Wouldyoumind…?

(4)這個句型的否定形式是在mind后加not,即Wouldyoumindnot…?或Doyoumindnot…?

1.通常既可用whether也可用if表示“是否”來引導從句,常置于see,ask,learn,tell,wonder,doubt,findout等動詞之后。如:Imnotsurewhether/ifIllhavetime.我不敢肯定我是否會有時間。

只能使用whether的場合
(1)只有whether能用在介詞后面,如:
Successdependsonwhetherwemakeenougheffort.
(2)在英語中與or(not)連用的詞通常是whether
如:Whetherwehelphimornot,hewillfail.不論我們幫助他與否,他都將失敗。
(3)帶to的動詞不定式前用whether,而不用if
如:Pleasetelluswhethertogoorstayhere.請告訴我們是走還是留。

(4)whether可置于句首引導主語從句,而if不能,如:WhetherthemeetingwillbeinBeijingisnotknownyet.
會議是否在北京舉行還不得而知。

2.geton/getoff(a/thebus,train,boat,plane)上/下(公共汽車、火車、船、飛機. 如:Shegoton/offthebusquickly.
geton還可以表示為:相處融洽、繼續(xù)。
如:Getonwithyourwork!繼續(xù)工作吧!
Igetonwellwithallmyclassmates.我和所有的同學相處都很融洽。
get的其它的用法:
(1)表示“到達,抵達”,如果后接表示到達某地的名詞,get后面要接介詞to,如果get后接的是地點副詞就可以直接在get后使用。
如:Shegotthereatsix.
她六點鐘到達那里。(there為地點副詞)
Whenwegottothestation,thebuswaswaiting.
當我們到達車站時,汽車還在等著。(thestation是名詞)
(2)getsth.done使;受;讓人做好;經(jīng)歷;讓;做(該做的事),如:
IlljustgetthesedisheswashedandthenIllcome.我得把盤子洗了,然后就來。
Imustgetthetelevisionfixed.我必須請人修理一下這臺電視機。
(3)get與賓語+形容詞連用,其意思是“使某物/某人成為”,如:
Igotmyfeetwet.我把腳弄濕了。
Itstimetogetthekidsreadyforschool.該給孩子們收拾好去上學了。
(4)成為,如:Myhandsaregettingcold.我的手冷。
Thefoodsgettingcold.菜涼了。
Thisskirtisgettingdirty;itneedswashing.這件短裙臟了,該洗一洗了。

㈡Should的用法:
1.Should表示勸告、建議、命令,其同義詞是oughtto;在疑問句中,通常用should代替oughtto。

Should的含義較多,翻譯用法較活,請看下面的句子:

從以上例句可以看出:情態(tài)動詞should用于第一人稱時可以表示說話人的一種謙遜、客氣、委婉的語氣。
2.Should還可以用在if引導的條件從句,表示一件事聽起來可能性很小,但也不是完全沒有可能。相當于“萬一”的意思。如:
