IaskedmymotherherideaaboutitandshetoldmethatredwouldbeagoodcolorandthatinChinathecolorredwasforgoodluck.Thenextdayshewentshoppingwithme.Wecouldn’tfindanythingforseveralhours.Finally,IfoundaredsuitthatIthoughtwaswonderful.Itwasmadeoutofsilk;thetrouserswereverybaggy,andtheblousewaslikeajacketwithsee-throughsleeves.Next,Iwenttobuyapairofshoes.Iboughtawhitepairwithsomeredflowersonthefront.
ThedayoftheweddingmyfriendspickedmeupsothatwecouldgotogethertoJan’shouse.Iwastheonlyonewhowaswearingred.WhenwegottoJan’shouse,shegreetedusandgavemethisfunnylook,whichIdidn’tlike.Sheseemedmad,butIdidn’tknowwhy.Whensheintroducedustoherfamily,herfamilyalsogavemethisfunnylookIdidn’tlike.Afterthat,Janandherfamilyneverspoketomeoncethewholeday.IwantedtocrybecauseeveryonekeptlookingatmelikeIhaddonesomethingwrong.
Finally,theweddingwasover.Igothomeandtoldmymomwhathappened.Thenextday,Jancalledmeandsaidwecouldn’tbefriendsanymore,butshedidn’tgivemeareason.Lateron,oneofmyfriendstoldmethatinJan’sculturethecolorredisasignofbadluck.JanandherfamilythoughtthatbywearingredIwasputtingtheweddingcoupleindanger.MyfriendalsotoldmethatatmostAmericanweddingstheredsuitwouldnothavebeenaproblematall.Ifoundallthisconfusing,butatleastIfinallyunderstoodwhathadhappened.

閱讀文章LadyinRed選自吉林出版集團(tuán)有限責(zé)任公司、外語教育出版公司出版的《英語知道40個文化故事》。故事敘述了主人公因中西文化在顏色方面的差異而造成的不愉快經(jīng)歷。文章內(nèi)容適合高一學(xué)生的認(rèn)知水平,貼近學(xué)生的生活,有助于學(xué)生文化意識和情感態(tài)度價值觀的培養(yǎng);話題生活化,有助于豐富學(xué)生的語言知識和培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的語言能力;通過閱讀,學(xué)生熟悉高中的閱讀方法策略。
三、學(xué)情分析
高一新生正處在初高中角色轉(zhuǎn)換期,高一的英語教學(xué)也要考慮到這個問題,對他們的語言知識和語言能力方面的要求既是初中的延續(xù),又要略高于初中時的要求,在閱讀方法策略方面要充分考慮延續(xù)和提高的要求。
四、教學(xué)總體思路
